Class of 2014 - S | West Salem Wisconsin Senior Photographer

This gorgeous young lady is a soon-to-be senior at West Salem High School!  She was so much fun to work with (and let us get super creative, even sacrificing her prom dress for the sake of an awesome water shot)!  She brought along a bunch of stylish clothes, full of summer colors, which made her shots so vibrant.  Plus, who doesn't love a splash of color with some sparkly pink eye shadow and a pink gloss over her lips?!

Not only was she fun to hang out with during her session and quite comfortable in front of the camera, she as has a passion for photography.  Of course, I had to take advantage of that - being a photographer myself!  We dusted off a couple of old cameras we have in our vintage collection at the studio and brought them along for the shoot.  Armed with a blanket, a 35 mm Vivitar, and a couple framed shots of her work, we were able to create a little grouping of artistic images for this budding photographer!

Baby J | Onalaska Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Such a handsome little fellow visited us for a session in the studio recently!  At only 3 weeks old, Baby J was so alert and attentive.  He was determined to stay awake through all his photos!  He especially enjoyed some content, wide-eyed time in mom and dad's arms, so shots like the one above went very well.  But, towards the end of his session, he was tuckered out and snuck in a few Z's.  That gave us the perfect opportunity to pop the cute blue elf hat on for a few sleepy time shots (which are always our favorite newborn shots)!  It was quite clear from the session, this guy has a wonderful set of parents and he's off to a great start with his new life!

The S Family | La Crescent Minnesota Family Photograher

What a fun time we had in La Crescent, MN for this extended family shoot!  We photographed them at their home, with a gorgeous view of the valley and an awesome red barn, complete with hay bales set up as seats!  They did a great job preparing for their shoot, setting up their barn scene and coordinating red, white, and blue outfits.  Plus, there was a very friendly shaggy dog who joined in a few shots with his core family!  It's always a blast getting to know a big group like this and photographing the happiness that is so visible a line of generations!

M & J Engagement | Wedding Photographer La Crosse Wisconsin

M & J were such a wonderful couple, capturing the love in their photos felt so natural!  They came all the way from the other side of the state to La Crosse (where they have family) for their session.  We had a great time together and captured so many fun images.  They kept it casual in the first portion of their session out in the park.  Even with the billions of gnats and mosquitoes who shared the park with us that morning, they did a wonderful job being naturals in from of my lens!

We're all signed up to photograph their wedding next year in August and truly can't wait!  With such an easy-going, fun couple, I'm sure their wedding will be a blast!

Baby J | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

So many smiles this afternoon - so many!  Baby J was full of toothy (hey, she's got a few, so it counts) grins!  Plus, her big sister stood next to me and did some dances, played a little peek-a-boo, and made some funny faces, which just inspired more and more laughter!  All in all, quite the giggly day for us.

With a gorgeous summer day and some lovely floral dresses, we had a great shoot in the park with this little fashionista!  We've been photographing Baby J since she was born and have enjoyed watching her grow into a lovely little lady.  We can't wait to see what her next and final session in our Baby Steps Plan (1 year) holds for us!  To see a few shots from her previous sessions click here, here and here.

Baby D | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

 There are those moments when you meet incredibly smiley little ones who just make you smile in return - Baby D was that little lady the other day!  She especially enjoyed watching her mom and dad play peek-a-boo and sing the ABC song for her right behind the camera.  We were all singing the ABCs by the end of the session (although, I don't think anyone enjoyed my voice all that much)!

Plus, she brought a little sass to her session too!  With an adorable, glittery pink and black tutu and a matching bow, she flashed us her best pucker for a very adorable fashion shot.  We had the chance to work with this lovely lady and her parents back when she was brand new (click here to see a sneak peek from her first session).  We've really enjoyed working with her and can't wait to see her for her one year session to complete her Baby Steps Plan!

Little R | La Crosse Wisconsin Child Photographer

Little R has some amazingly gorgeous, not so little, blue eyes!  She was just too cute for words!  She came into the studio with two stunning red floral dresses that we handmade by her grandmother.  I'm always amazed at the talent of people who can knit, crochet, or sew (those are definitely not in my skill set)! 

We even had a chance to sneak outside (in our studio backyard) for a few shots in the summer grass!  Her eyes caught the light from the bright sky above and were as sparkly as ever!  Little R brought along her parents and big brother, who were all quite fun.  She also had a fun little step stool that had appeared in her brother's photos, so we were carrying on a bit of a tradition with a very lovely little lady!

Little E & E | Onalaska Wisconsin Kid Photographer

 Sisters are part of a very special little relationship - best friends, partners in crime, each other's entertainment...  We've been photographing E and E since big sister E was born and what a journey it's been!  This time, we were out on their grandparent's farm, just enjoying a warm summer day.  With a little swing time, the day was full of silliness. 

Plus, who doesn't love some silly, giggly toe time - and chairs that are big enough to squeeze two little ladies in!  There was plenty of laughing going on, once little E realized she was actually enjoying all the silly faces her sister was making and all the tickling from mom nearby.  Sometimes, our toes are the best entertainment!

A & T Wedding | La Crosse Wisconsin Weddng Photographer

Such a stunning wedding with such a stunning couple!  A & T said "I do" on a beautiful Saturday in late June and we were so honored to be able to capture the memories of their big day!  Their ceremony took place at a church in Halfway Creek Lutheran Church in Holmen, WI.  Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows they wrote themselves with tearful joy.

After their ceremony, we all headed to a local park to take advantage of the weather, overcast and warm, without the rain!  A chose a beautiful color scheme for their wedding: black, white, and green (A's favorite color, as evident by her awesome green shoes)!  Things went so smoothly and there wasn't a hiccup, besides the bugs that followed us around the park. 

They had their reception at The Best Western in La Crosse, WI.  Their first dance was so wonderful to watch.  Cuddled close and gazing into one another's eyes, they were a real demonstration of happiness and love.  Photographing such special moments is one of our favorite things to do!  Just as we were finishing our services for the day, the DJ announced that a severe thunderstorm had rolled in, so luckily it missed all the important outdoor moments of the day!  All in all, it was a gorgeous wedding to celebrate the beginning of a wonderful couple's new life together!

B & B Engagement | Onalaska Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

To be in the company of love is such a wonderful thing!  Each and every couple we meet has their own unique love story and it's so captivating to see them illustrate it in front of our lens!  B and B are a great young couple who are planning on tying the knot in the Fall of 2014.  They are both very relaxed individuals who compliment each other beautifully and have been together for quite some time.  They really enjoy being with one another which was so clear in their images.

They also have quite interesting hobbies.  He restores old Studebaker cars (featured) on the farm site they share in Minnesota.  We couldn't resist getting a shot of his current project!  They also dirt bike together, so of course, when they offered to "jump" the bike, we had to snap a few shots!  We had so much fun during their engagement session, we just can't wait to see what their wedding holds!
