 How stunning is this gorgeous lady?!  In need of some updated head shots, the lovely Ms. W visited our studio a few weekends ago.  She really let us take the reigns and include a few fun sassy shots (in addition to the traditional business shots - not featured here).  It is always so much fun working with her!  She's actually my (Savanna) sister and is always helping us around the studio, at expos and behind-the-scenes!  Plus, with those gorgeous dark eyes and all around confident beauty, we've enlisted her more than once as a model for our new backgrounds, lighting gear, props, etc.  Just a day behind, but Happy Sibling Day!

The Dog Spa | West Salem Wisconsin Photographer

The lovely ladies of Marcie's Pet Spa in West Salem, WI are at it again!  With a move to a larger location just across the street from their old spot (Leonard St.) and a major expanse in staff, they are growing faster than the pooches they groom and care for can chase a Frisbee!  We not only have been bringing our dogs to visit Marcie for quite some time, we also work with her business for our annual pet portrait charity event, Jingle Bark.  After the blast we had creating their staff photos (literally, the laughing you see in the photo on the right was all natural - no prompting required), we sat down for a few minutes to organize this year's Jingle Bark!  We'll release more information about that soon, but until then, make sure all you dog owners check out Marcie's Pet Spa - awesome people who do an awesome job with our furry family members! Sneak Peek - Class of 2013 Senior J | La Crosse Wisconsin Senior Photographer

To say that this guy is fast is a total understatement!  If the tons of medals, batons, and certificates don't prove it, we will - he is definitely skilled on the track!  We had so much fun with J, who attends Central High School in La Crosse, WI.  He'll be graduating in 2013 and seems to have quite the bright future ahead of himself!  He's also got a great personality; it was a breeze working with him during his session and we even got to meet the dog he's had since he was a baby!  Also, this was Megan's first official shoot as a part of the EIP team and it went wonderfully! The Welcome | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

Excited, excited, excited!  That's the buzz word here at EIP!  This has been a long time coming, but we are now officially announcing the arrival of our newest team member - Megan!  I met Megan in a few of the photo courses I teach at Western Technical College and saw what awesome photographic potential she had!  After generously assisting with a few shoots earlier in the year, I realized that Megan was just the type of person EIP was looking for as we continue to grow; she's friendly, easy-going, and talented!  With her first official EIP shoot already under her belt, we can't wait to see what Megan wows us with next!

Here's a little tid-bit from the magnificent Megan herself: "I am so excited to be a member of the Endless Images Photography Team!  I am married to an amazing man and have a rambunctious one year old!  I grew up right here in the Coulee Region and couldn't think of a better place to raise my family.  I cannot wait to meet all of the people that make up the EIP family and I'm excited to help this family grow!  Make sure to schedule a visit with me so I can capture your memories!"

The Art & The Updates | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

I have always had a place in my heart for successful diptych images (two images displayed side by side, cohesive in nature - as defined by me).  So, I suppose it makes sense that so many of my fine art images end up diptychs!  This one was no exception.  This was from a very short series I did a while back in which I was challenging myself to view my surroundings in black and white and all the lovely shades of gray in between.  Every now and then, I like to force myself out of my normal comfort zone for personal projects such as that.  Anyway, I think it was definitely a worthwhile way to spend a 6 hour drive (to and from) and a weekend in the Minnesota cities!

Speaking of artwork, I'm very proud to announce that I am officially an award winning, internationally published photographer!  That is a wonderfully fulfilling accomplishment for myself and my business.  For at least a year or so now, I've been able to hold the official title of award winning, published photographer, but, recently, one of my images was published in a British territory near Spain, allowing me the amazing opportunity of adding "international" to the title!  And, as if that wasn't exciting enough, the image was of the La Crosse's own Riverside Park eagle statue that's featured here!  Needless to say, this photographer is having a wonderfully happy 2012 so far!

One last note, as I've been doing for some time now, I'm still teaching photography courses (and, hopefully expanding with a few new courses in the Fall) at Western Technical College, through their Lifelong Learning program.  If you're interested in taking some of these courses, visit their website and look for the instructor named Westbrook (that's me)!  Hope to see you there!

The Publication Award | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

If you haven't already picked up an issue, check out Coulee Parenting Connection (a local Wisconsin parenting publication).  Their pages are packed full of family goodness!  I had the pleasure of working with them on a few projects last year (providing photos for their specific articles) and it was always quite exciting!  They were recently awarded by the Parenting Media Association for the feature pictured below, which I created the photos for!  What an awesome accomplishment for Editor and Publisher Lissa Carlson, Designer Karen Wallander, and the entire team at CPC!  I'm so honored to be a small part of their major success!

Wow!  How the time has flown by!  I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to post in a while, but I promise, I'm back to it!  We have just been crazy busy, but not all of it was the fun stuff.  Preparing taxes, reorganizing the studio, updating our databases... you know, all the behind-the-scenes office work that just has to get done!  But, we did manage to squeeze in a few expos and they were super fun!  We got our Inside-Out-Photo Booth up and running again and had an awesome group of people stop by for a few fun shots!  Check out the albums on our Facebook (and the little peek here)!

The Doll Series | Onalaska Wisconsin Photographer

Isn't this young lady gorgeous?!  I've had a blast working with her on various modeling projects before and she is so comfortable in front of the camera, it just really makes it easy to accomplish the goals of each session.  Really, having a model can be very tricky at times.  There's a vision each photographer has in their head and during regular portrait sessions, this vision gets meshed together with the client's personality to create the final image.  That's what makes each image so unique to each individual, family. etc. But, when a photographer uses a model to create an image there's a different type of session that occurs.  Models work with the photographer to develop the vision of the artist in order to create the final image.  It such a strange experience because, for as much verbal communication that's occurring, there's even more non-verbal communication occurring.  It can be really frustrating working with a model who doesn't quite understand this so you can see how exciting it is to work with one who makes the entire process so smooth!  Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of working with a lot of models who give each session their full attention and effort and it has truly been a blast working with them all!La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer, Baby Photography, La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer, Onalaska Wisconsin Photographer, Holmen Wisconsin Photographer, West Salem Wisconsin Photographer, WI, Endless Images, Photographer La Crosse, Photographer Wisconsin, Wisconsin Photographer, Minnesota Photographer, Winona Minnesota Photographer

Sneak Peek - Mr. W The Businessman | Onalaska Wisconsin Business Headshot Photographer

I had the privilege of having my dad visit the studio this evening to get an updated business headshot!  I love when family and friends step in front of my lens!  He's taking some more grad school courses in Alabama shortly and was in need of an updated image.  He looked really sharp in his suit and now he's got the photos to prove it!

The "Biggest Baby Show Ever" | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

Though I was unable to attend "The Biggest Baby Shower Ever" event at the Children's Museum in La Crosse this past Saturday because I was out shooting a wedding in Hillsboro, our marketing coordinator, Nicole, manned our booth and told me all about all the great moms, dads, and kids she met!  We can't wait to meet everyone in the future and look forward to selecting the winners of our drawing!  A free session, an 11x14 wall print, and a CD are all among the prizes that multiple registrants will be winning!  Plus, we have a great special that we offered to those who stopped by our booth involving our Facebook, so we can't wait to get to know everyone!  All in all, one very busy, but very fun weekend!  Now, it's off to bed before a very necessary day of rest on Monday!

Sneak Peek - The Grand Opening Photo Booth | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

We had a great grand opening celebration this past weekend!  It went so quickly, I barely had a chance to chat with everyone who came!  Thank you to all of you who stopped by and thanks to those who gave me beautiful plants, frames, cards, and even a faux lens pencil holder!  I can't wait to see you all again in our studio! (There were so many other awesome photos from Saturday, but I didn't have enough room to post them all!  And don't worry, those of you who struck a pose for my camera will have a chance to see your shots on our Facebook!)

Behind the Scenes - Preparing For The Grand Opening! | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

It's the wee morning hours and I think I can officially say that my sister (and baking partner and marketing coordinator and party planner and best friend) and I have gone a bit crazy!  We've spent the last two days baking, cleaning, organizing, preparing, decorating, etc. for our new studio's grand opening celebration!  We prepared about 2 million (well, actually 92) cupcakes, 2 million (well, actually 100) thank you boxes, 2 million (well, actually 15) bouffant and swirly decorations, and the list goes on...  We just have one or two things left to do before the big event tomorrow (actually, tonight) at 4 pm!  Then, it's off to bed to sleep for a few days straight before a senior shoot on Monday!  I'm off to catch a few Z's for now!  We can't wait to see all of you at the studio!  (Please ignore the bad images above - they're all from my cell phone!)

Sneak Peek - The Studio | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

Here's a little sneak peek into our new studio location!  (Please ignore the poor photo - all I had was my cell phone - couldn't carry my DSLR camera with all the other things I moved in today!)  As you can tell, we don't have any of our wall portrait decorations up and we don't have our backgrounds in yet either, but we're definitely getting excited to see it all coming together!  We can't wait to start seeing our clients here!  Stop by in May when we're officially open to the public!  We even have a great candy jar center piece to satisfy our sweetest clients!  See you there soon!

The SHRM Group | La Crosse Wisconsin Business Photographer

I was asked to photograph a business club at UW-L the other day and got to meet some great students!  The girls above belong to the La Crosse chapter of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).  We did these portraits right before their meeting so I didn't have a ton of time to get to know their club a bit more, but they all represented themselves very well and I think they're definitely representing UW-L in a great way!  We were able to find this spot in the hallway where this exposed brick presented itself as a wonderful background.  It was right next to a huge window as well, which gave us awesome natural light!  All in all, it was quite a fun (and fairly quick) project!
