2nd Annual Jingle Bark | Onalaska Wisconsin Pet Photographers

Our 2nd annual Jingle Bark went off without a hitch!  Okay, maybe not a hitch, but there was a quality amount of drool, barks, shedding, and puppy nibbles.  But we wouldn't have it any other way!  The bloopers above are some of the funniest memories from last Saturday!  This is just such a fun event to do each year and we get to meet so many awesome dogs and their parents.  We again teamed up with the wonderful ladies of Marcie's Pet Spa in West Salem, WI and we brought along a few new props and backgrounds.  Also, a portion of the proceeds this year went to benefit The Craig Family (a local family) who are saving up money for their daughter's pet therapy dog (which is quite expensive due to the extensive training it will receive in order to best aide specialized needs).  It warms our hearts that we're able to provide a little assistance for a great cause; all while enjoying snuggles, licked kisses, and wagging tails!  We hope to see an even greater turn out next year for our 3rd annual event, so get those pups excited! Sneak Peek - The M Family | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

On one of the last warm-ish Fall days we headed out to a forest trail with the seven members (including the furry ones) of the M Family for a shoot.  This family was a blast to work with!  They were all in great moods, full of laughter!  Even the two dogs, despite the small bursts of excitement when a few other dogs walked past, were quite easy-going.  For never having had their family photos taken, they mentioned being pleasantly surprised at how fun it was - which is always a wonderful compliment for us!  We love when families can relax in front of our lens and enjoy the moments spent together and the memories shared! The Dog Spa | West Salem Wisconsin Photographer

The lovely ladies of Marcie's Pet Spa in West Salem, WI are at it again!  With a move to a larger location just across the street from their old spot (Leonard St.) and a major expanse in staff, they are growing faster than the pooches they groom and care for can chase a Frisbee!  We not only have been bringing our dogs to visit Marcie for quite some time, we also work with her business for our annual pet portrait charity event, Jingle Bark.  After the blast we had creating their staff photos (literally, the laughing you see in the photo on the right was all natural - no prompting required), we sat down for a few minutes to organize this year's Jingle Bark!  We'll release more information about that soon, but until then, make sure all you dog owners check out Marcie's Pet Spa - awesome people who do an awesome job with our furry family members! The Farm Experience | Onalaska Wisconsin Commercial Photographer

Recently, I began working with a local publication called Greens Coulee Life, a magazine exclusive to the neighborhoods in Onalaska behind Coulee Golf and Bowl.  As one of the assignments, I was asked to photograph a local community farm located in the middle of the neighborhoods called Clearwater Farms.  It was quite the cool experience!

Besides seeing all the neat animals, including Frosty the (very friendly) Donkey and a very ferocious cat (who was actually just sleepy and yawning quite frequently), I learned quite a lot!  There were fancy chickens that actually produce eggs (I was told nothing beats a fresh egg) and a wonderful garden area where huge, healthy plants were growing.  The farm even offers special activities for members and other groups to participate in.

The Jingle Bark Bloopers Mini-Reel | West Salem Pet Photographer

When you photography dozens of dogs in one day, you're bound to end up with a few bloopers.  And that we did!  Here's just a few of our favorite outtakes of the day (and we still have another day of shooting tomorrow)!  Blinks, shakes, jumps, sneezes, drooling mouths - we saw it all (but not one accident in the shooting area)!  The first annual Jingle Bark is off to a great start so far!  The furry folks are quite hilarious, needless to say!

The Spring Greetings | La Crosse Wisconsin Pet Photographer

Dare I say it, SPRING HAS ARRIVED!!!  (Finally!)  The snow has melted; replaced by quickly greening grass...lovely!  And we're ready for the new season as we unleash all our upgrades!  Fresh looks, fun ideas, and fantastic spring specials - this season is sure to be a busy one, but full of excitement!  Don't wait, book your spring sessions today to capture this contagious feeling of jubilee! 
Also, In case you haven't noticed, I have the opportunity to photograph this little pup quite often and she's such a pro - not to mention, she loves the limelight!  She's my sister's dog and I created this Spring scene (of a few) late this evening so she was the perfect last minute model!  But enough for now - get out there, blow bubbles, sunbathe, picnic, whatever you like to do on such wonderful days!  Enjoy!

The Soon-to-Be Big Brother | La Crosse Wisconsin Pet Dog Photographer

This little pup is going to be a big brother VERY soon!  But I don't know how much he'll like sharing the spotlight!  He really likes being the only little one in his home and was very welcoming when I came to visit the day of his photo session!  I think he likes all the attention he gets with all those lovely golden locks!  This little cock-a-poo is quite a character and I couldn't help but laugh as he tried to sneak in all the shots (until we asked him to be in them, then, he didn't really want to stick around)! 

The Pup | Onalaska Wisconsin Pet Dog Photographer

This little pup was a great model for me this week while I tested some beauty dishes I'll be incorporating into my lighting mix!  She belongs to my sister.  She's so patient and makes for a great model!  Plus, she's absolutely adorable with those giant ears!  Also, she rocks faux fur, which I believe we all should do, so she's a great face for the cause!

The Dog | Minneapolis Minnesota Pet Photographer

This "little" (I use that term lightly here) pup was so funny!  I had the chance to work with her and her human parents a while ago and I couldn't get over this shot.  She has these gorgeous eyes, this quizzical look, and these goofy ears that are just a size too small for her head!  She's huge but she's still a puppy by age so playtime (which is every second of every minute of the day) can be a crazy time.  I was great getting to work with her though and I can't wait to run my upcoming special that focuses on dogs (and pets of all kinds) and their families, and using photography to benefit pet saving organizations!  (More information on that to come a bit later - stay tuned!)
