Baby L | Onalaska Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Birthdays can be so hard sometimes...  Turning the big ONE is tough, you know.  But Baby L (who we've had so much fun working with during his past sessions, seen here) just wasn't having any of it when it came to the balloons!  With an adorable little grin kept hidden behind his pacifier, he was a more than content to hang out in mom's arms instead of our scenes!  But, he was all smiles when we started some shots with mom and dad included!

Plus, what a snazzy dresser this little guy is - sweater vest and all!  We hope to see this little guy more as he grows up!

Sneak Peek - Baby C | Onalask Wisconsin Baby Photographer

What a handsome little man Baby C is; he's the big O-N-E and oh so fun to be around!  He came dressed to the nines in a big fluffy onesie coat which made him look like an adorable walking teddy bear!  His mom even brought in a photo from his newborn session that we did back when he was just a tiny little guy:

But, the real smiles happened once he saw the balloons.  Despite his insistence in wanting to dig those two full(-ish) rows of pearly whites into the very pop-able toys, he had a blast tossing them around with mom and dad!  (Luckily, no balloons, or little boy faces, were harmed in the making of this photo!)

Sneak Peek - Baby G | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Sneak Peek - Baby B | Onalaska Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Sneak Peek - Baby S | West Salem Wisconsin Baby Photographer

We had so much fun in the studio today!  This little soon-to-be ONE year old had quite the vivacious personality!  And her mom was so wonderful with her!  There were definitely plenty of giggles going around!  Plus, she had just about the cutest little spring dress, which I heard was a gift from her grandma.  I just couldn't resist this shot - what a wonderful moment! Sneak Peek - Baby B | Tomah Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Another birthday celebration in the studio - which means another cake smash!  We just love photographing the experience of these little one-year-olds figuring out just what to do with a whole cake/cupcake for themselves!  It's not often, in young lives, that there's quite this much sugar and yumminess at your fingertips (literally)!  Some tiny hands dive right in, grabbing gobs of cake and gooey frosting, then stuffing it into those little mouths.  Some small fingers barely smudge the frosting before the tears start flowing.  Then, others, like this little one, begin cautiously and, after discovering the sweet joy that is cake and frosting, take on the serious task of devouring the deliciousness in front of them.  Whatever the method, it's always quite a sight to be seen!

Sneak Peek - Little O | La Crosse Wisconsin Child Photographer

This lovely lady, with those gorgeous eyes, came in for a shoot on the day of her second birthday!  Her personality is way bigger than her age, which made it all the more fun!  We played for sometime in the studio, then, ventured into the nippy air for a few outdoor shots.  We found some lovely spots to relax near the icy Mississippi before she zipped off to her pizza celebration!  I had almost forgot just how much fun turning two can be!

Sneak Peek - The A Family | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

What a fun little guy we had in the studio today!  Him and his grandpa were pretty fun in photos together too - there's quite the size difference!  We were going to do our shoot outdoors, but there was a not-so-nice storm last night (it knocked out power for a bit) and the dark, rumbling clouds just kept hoving over the park we wanted to go to.  The on and off rain forced us to make the decision to go into the studio, but it worked out great!  Little A even got to open a super cool birthday gift (a little drum) during the shoot and we got a few shots of the budding drummer!  All in all, fun day!

Today we had a birthday girl in the studio!  Little Miss A is a big 6 years old but she has double the dose of personality!  By the time she left, her mom and I were tuckered out and she was full of energy with a green tongue to boot!  A bunch of ballons, a fancy dress, and a giant lollipop - birthday shoots are always a blast!

Sneak Peek - Little K! | Eden Prairie Minnesota Baby Photographer

We're out here in Minnesota for the weekend and this little prince was one of our photo shoots during our photo tour!  He had just recently turned the big O-N-E and we had to do a bit of celebration!  He was just too funny!  He had some fun putting his fingers (and some of his feet) in the frosting but decided very promptly that he did not enjoy the taste of his delicious cupcake!

Sneak Peek - Baby E | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Portrait Photographer

Baby E turned the big O-N-E this month!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  And did she ever have a happy one; she really, really enjoyed this cupcake!  It was so much fun watching her try to figure out was it was - until she got that first taste of frosting, then the cupcake didn't stand a chance!  She had it on her face, her hands, her clothes, her legs, and even in between her toes!  But her hair made it out free of frosting!  All in all, I think I enjoyed photographing her during this just as much as she enjoyed herself!  We'll be putting together a book of her first year in portraits and it's guaranteed to be a great one just because of her vivacious personality!  I can't wait for all the other babies I'm working with to hit this milestone; it's just too much fun!
