If you haven't already picked up an issue, check out Coulee Parenting Connection (a local Wisconsin parenting publication).  Their pages are packed full of family goodness!  I had the pleasure of working with them on a few projects last year (providing photos for their specific articles) and it was always quite exciting!  They were recently awarded by the Parenting Media Association for the feature pictured below, which I created the photos for!  What an awesome accomplishment for Editor and Publisher Lissa Carlson, Designer Karen Wallander, and the entire team at CPC!  I'm so honored to be a small part of their major success!

I opened my e-mail the other day to this wonderful note from a wedding client!  What a great way to start the workday!  We love to hear such kind compliments from our clients and always enjoy these types of messages!  It's our goal, with each and every client we work with, to make sure they get everything they need from their experience with us.  It makes us so happy and continues to reaffirm our passion for the business of photography when we receive these kinds of e-mails!  (So if you're one of our many clients who've sent such wonderful compliments, don't be surprised if we come calling about featuring your kind words!)

The Calendar Shoots - Ms. A | La Crosse Wisconsin Commercial Photographer

A while back we did a bunch of shoots for 95.7 The Rock's annual charity calendar to benefit The Rock Foundation.  It was such a blast!  We worked with an awesome group of lovely models and got to shoot at a bunch of fun places!  It was really a neat experience and a great way to utilize the skills we don't get to use as much with the kiddos and such - our senior photography skills came in much more handy for this type of assignment!  This one has kind of a funny story with it - I locked my keys in the car right before the shoot and had only grabbed my camera plus one flash before closing the door so we were getting creative!  I think I should lock away more of my equipment every day!  Kidding, luckily I grabbed what I really wanted to use anyway, but it was a bit of an adventure!  =)  Anyway, we'll slowly be putting up some of the best images, including a bunch of the ones featured in the calendar.  This was from the first of 12 shoots (when it was still warm enough to stand in the water) and we can't wait to share more as time goes on!

We were honored to work with a local publication, Coulee Parenting Connection, again and this time, they asked if we'd be willing to do some shoots for the cover kids in addition to the other articles we'd be working on!  Of course, we agreed and we had so much fun working with all the awesome girls!  Check out our album of images on our Facebook page (click on the image above to get to our page).

The Unlikely Clients | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

Believe it or not, this family was much trickier to pose than any of my other clients!  It's not that they were too rowdy or goofy.  Nor was it that they weren't very flexible with their ideas.  They were just a bit stiff in front of the camera.  Kind of like four sticks in the mud.  Please excuse the ranting, I absolutely love all my other clients, but these guys, not so much!  However, we made it through and ended up with a bunch of fun photos!  Now, if I could only get the splinters out of my fingers...
