Baby D | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

 There are those moments when you meet incredibly smiley little ones who just make you smile in return - Baby D was that little lady the other day!  She especially enjoyed watching her mom and dad play peek-a-boo and sing the ABC song for her right behind the camera.  We were all singing the ABCs by the end of the session (although, I don't think anyone enjoyed my voice all that much)!

Plus, she brought a little sass to her session too!  With an adorable, glittery pink and black tutu and a matching bow, she flashed us her best pucker for a very adorable fashion shot.  We had the chance to work with this lovely lady and her parents back when she was brand new (click here to see a sneak peek from her first session).  We've really enjoyed working with her and can't wait to see her for her one year session to complete her Baby Steps Plan!

Little R | La Crosse Wisconsin Child Photographer

Little R has some amazingly gorgeous, not so little, blue eyes!  She was just too cute for words!  She came into the studio with two stunning red floral dresses that we handmade by her grandmother.  I'm always amazed at the talent of people who can knit, crochet, or sew (those are definitely not in my skill set)! 

We even had a chance to sneak outside (in our studio backyard) for a few shots in the summer grass!  Her eyes caught the light from the bright sky above and were as sparkly as ever!  Little R brought along her parents and big brother, who were all quite fun.  She also had a fun little step stool that had appeared in her brother's photos, so we were carrying on a bit of a tradition with a very lovely little lady!

Little E & E | Onalaska Wisconsin Kid Photographer

 Sisters are part of a very special little relationship - best friends, partners in crime, each other's entertainment...  We've been photographing E and E since big sister E was born and what a journey it's been!  This time, we were out on their grandparent's farm, just enjoying a warm summer day.  With a little swing time, the day was full of silliness. 

Plus, who doesn't love some silly, giggly toe time - and chairs that are big enough to squeeze two little ladies in!  There was plenty of laughing going on, once little E realized she was actually enjoying all the silly faces her sister was making and all the tickling from mom nearby.  Sometimes, our toes are the best entertainment!

A & T Wedding | La Crosse Wisconsin Weddng Photographer

Such a stunning wedding with such a stunning couple!  A & T said "I do" on a beautiful Saturday in late June and we were so honored to be able to capture the memories of their big day!  Their ceremony took place at a church in Halfway Creek Lutheran Church in Holmen, WI.  Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows they wrote themselves with tearful joy.

After their ceremony, we all headed to a local park to take advantage of the weather, overcast and warm, without the rain!  A chose a beautiful color scheme for their wedding: black, white, and green (A's favorite color, as evident by her awesome green shoes)!  Things went so smoothly and there wasn't a hiccup, besides the bugs that followed us around the park. 

They had their reception at The Best Western in La Crosse, WI.  Their first dance was so wonderful to watch.  Cuddled close and gazing into one another's eyes, they were a real demonstration of happiness and love.  Photographing such special moments is one of our favorite things to do!  Just as we were finishing our services for the day, the DJ announced that a severe thunderstorm had rolled in, so luckily it missed all the important outdoor moments of the day!  All in all, it was a gorgeous wedding to celebrate the beginning of a wonderful couple's new life together!

B & B Engagement | Onalaska Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

To be in the company of love is such a wonderful thing!  Each and every couple we meet has their own unique love story and it's so captivating to see them illustrate it in front of our lens!  B and B are a great young couple who are planning on tying the knot in the Fall of 2014.  They are both very relaxed individuals who compliment each other beautifully and have been together for quite some time.  They really enjoy being with one another which was so clear in their images.

They also have quite interesting hobbies.  He restores old Studebaker cars (featured) on the farm site they share in Minnesota.  We couldn't resist getting a shot of his current project!  They also dirt bike together, so of course, when they offered to "jump" the bike, we had to snap a few shots!  We had so much fun during their engagement session, we just can't wait to see what their wedding holds!

Class of 2014 - A | West Salem Wisconsin Senior Photographer

 What an awesome dude we photographed in and around downtown La Crosse!  A soon-to-be senior at West Salem High School, A is quite a fun guy!  He came to his session relaxed and ready to create some awesome shots - complete with his stunning blue class ring.  He seems to have a bright future ahead of him and he's surrounded by a great set of parents!

We explored a local park during the first part of his session, moved to a perfect alleyway, then finished in the studio, where we created the yearbook photo he needed.  It's always so fun to hear what our seniors want from their photos and what their parents want.  We always keep it a nice mix to make sure we get the classic shots for mom and dad as well as the rock star shots where our seniors can show off their true personality!

M & C Wedding | Minnesota Wedding Photographer

What a beautiful Minnesota day for a lovely farm wedding!  We had the honor of photographing M & C's big day and what a day it was!  With a beautifully overcast sky, complete with warm temps and no rain, their day couldn't have started any better!  The sun even came out right before their ceremony, casting it's golden afternoon light over the yard near the pasture where they were married.  With a herd of calves keeping an eye on the proceedings, their photos truly display the real life of this couple! 

  

 

  

 Bride C got ready in their home and they met outside for their first sighting of each other.  Then, it was off to the nearby pasture for a round of photos before the ceremony.  With a bouquet of gorgeous flowers, a handsome neutral toned suit, and a stunning draped dress, they were a couple full of style and love!

 

  

 After the ceremony everyone headed to another area of the farm where the couple hosted a dinner and reception.  The best man and maid of honor gave hilarious and sentimental speeches, which brought tons of laughter and a few tears of joy to the room.  The entire crowd gathered around to watch their first dance, which was extremely sweet and moving!  We had such a wonderful time capturing the memories of this happy day and wish M & C a lifetime of love!

Sneak Peek - The L Family | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

What a sweet family we worked with the other weekend - during an especially chilly summer day!  With two adorable sisters, the session was full of silliness and laughter.  They choose to do most of their session in the urban downtown La Crosse area (because big sister A is not a fan of bugs that live in parks).  These old metal stairs really made their colorfully stylish outfits pop!  We even had a black squirrel join us in the alley for a few moments during our shoot - which was quite entertaining!  All in all, fun way to start our summer shoots again!

Sneak Peek - Baby O | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Baby O came in for a visit at only 10 days of age and what a beauty she was!  With two very devoted parents, she was content during her session, taking only a few breaks for nursing and cuddle time.  You may remember her parents from their maternity shoot a while back (see here).  This little lady has a very special middle name - Sierra, because that's where her parents spent a significant time in their relationship.  I love hearing all the neat stories about how moms and dads come up with their little one's names!  We can't wait to watch her grow - that's one of our favorite parts about meeting all these adorable babies!

Sneak Peek - A & L Engagement | La Crosse Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

To see a couple so in love and so happy is such a wonderful thing!  A & L's engagement took place at Disney World, where he got down on one knee in front of Cinderella's Castle, and she said yes! I was so excited when they asked me to photograph their engagement photos! We had to think of the perfect backdrop for this cowboy boot wearing couple and we found it. The day of the photo shoot was beautiful! We discovered a gorgeous shed that was perfectly weathered and got some great photos. Congratulations to them and I can't wait to celebrate with them at their upcoming wedding!
