It was bath time this afternoon for this lovely little lady!  Well, there wasn't any water to splash in, but there were some un-popable bubbles to hold, rubbery duckies to squeak, and a bucket to play in!  How adorable is this happy little bather?!  We've been wanting to play with these props for a while now but it's not everyday we have such an easy going little one in studio!  We got a ton of great shots and editing them is a blast so far!

Aren't sleeping babies just too adorable?!  This little guy was so comfortable in his moms hands, he just drifted right off into dreamland.  And what a handsome little sleeper he is!  We got gorgeous shot after gorgeous shot of him and him parents gently cuddling him as he slept.  These are the classic style shots I just love creating!  It's the simple and sweet memories like this, combined with low-key lighting, rich black backgrounds, and crisp monochromatic coloring that make portraits into artwork!

What a sweet family we met the other day!  Their brand new little guy, only two weeks old, visited us for a holiday/new baby session.  We did have a few minor messes (as we usually do with teeny-tiny ones) but that's what washers are for!  And his mom was quite a trooper - good job S!  He has such handsome little features too!  It's always so much fun to work with newborns, they're so soft, gentle, and cuddly.  And they always have such unique personalities for being so new.  This little guy was no exception and that made him all the more fun to work with!

When you photography dozens of dogs in one day, you're bound to end up with a few bloopers.  And that we did!  Here's just a few of our favorite outtakes of the day (and we still have another day of shooting tomorrow)!  Blinks, shakes, jumps, sneezes, drooling mouths - we saw it all (but not one accident in the shooting area)!  The first annual Jingle Bark is off to a great start so far!  The furry folks are quite hilarious, needless to say!

What a silly bunch we had stop by today!  If you can't already see from this portrait, they were quite the fun loving family!  I think I ended up with a little side stitch after this session!  Their silly faces were spot on - don't you think?!  It's always so nice to work with a good family (which I've met so many this year) and it really is a joy to create portraits that are gorgeous AND fun, all at the same time!  If an image shows some personality, it's a good image, so that's partly our goal with each and every session.  Personality in this one?  Check!

I just love engagement shoots!  They're so fun, free, and full of love!  It's always so great to work with a couple who truly enjoy being with one another and it always shows so clearly in the images!  Plus, we get to get really creative and a bit silly at times in finding ways to show off their feelings!

What a wonderful day we had today with this couple!  We photographed an expo for 95.7 The Rock, then took off to meet with B & J, a couple who just booked a wedding with us.  They were so fun to work with - relaxed with a sense of humor, it was great!  The sky was slightly overcast, the temps were higher than they'd been all week, and the outfits they choose matched beautifully with the woodsy feel of late Fall.  It was kind of like a photographer's dream come true!  Other than all the awesome photos we got, I had a bit of a crazy afternoon!  I realized when I got to my studio that I had forgotten all my camera cards at home with my laptop.  Then, I got done shooting the expo and realized that I didn't bring along my socks for the boots I had to change into.  I think my memory is slipping!  But, nonetheless, things ended up working out and it was a quite a fun day/evening!

Look at the stunning eyes on this little guy!  And that tiny Gerber-like smile!  He was so fun to have in front of the camera.  He's just the pudgiest little guy who, I quickly discovered, loves to be talked to!  This is his second shoot so far, in the series of 5 shoots (he's following our Baby Steps Plan) and we're having a blast with him!  Lately, we've been so blessed to have all these wonderful clients in our studio, filling it with laughter, silly faces, and tons of joy.  And we're not even done with the year yet!
