Sneak Peek - Baby S | West Salem Wisconsin Baby Photographer

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (at least in our studio photos)!  Christmas is my favorite time of year (other than the icy coldness) and I love creating holiday photos too!  This little one is quite thrilled to be in one of our scenes this year, though, we did have to bribe her with an ornament for her to hold (luckily, she's keeping it hidden)!  It's getting close to the cut-off time to get those holiday photos done and have those cards ordered, stamped, and ready to mail - so hurry, hurry, hurry and book if you haven't done so yet before time runs out!  It might seem a bit early but Christmas is on it's way and we can't wait! 

Sneak Peek - E & S Wedding | La Crosse Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

This is a little diptych from one of our last weddings of 2011 (besides one or two in November & December).  They were such a lovely couple and their outdoor shots were gorgeous, especially with the gorgeous Fall colors they choose.  But the intimate moment between E & S during their first dance was so sweet!  They're such a great couple and seem to have such a wonderful bond - their love is quite obvious!  As busy as weddings keep us, being able to work with amazing couples at gorgeous wedding full of love makes it all worth it!

The Calendar Shoots - Ms. A | La Crosse Wisconsin Commercial Photographer

A while back we did a bunch of shoots for 95.7 The Rock's annual charity calendar to benefit The Rock Foundation.  It was such a blast!  We worked with an awesome group of lovely models and got to shoot at a bunch of fun places!  It was really a neat experience and a great way to utilize the skills we don't get to use as much with the kiddos and such - our senior photography skills came in much more handy for this type of assignment!  This one has kind of a funny story with it - I locked my keys in the car right before the shoot and had only grabbed my camera plus one flash before closing the door so we were getting creative!  I think I should lock away more of my equipment every day!  Kidding, luckily I grabbed what I really wanted to use anyway, but it was a bit of an adventure!  =)  Anyway, we'll slowly be putting up some of the best images, including a bunch of the ones featured in the calendar.  This was from the first of 12 shoots (when it was still warm enough to stand in the water) and we can't wait to share more as time goes on!

Sneak Peek - The B Sisters | Onalaska Wisconsin Child Photographer

It was a warm Fall day in the park when these little ladies went to play!  Running here, running there, running everywhere - that was the official park activity!  But there was lovely warm sunshine hitting the golden leaves, creating the happiest fall look.  Plus, the giggles can almost be heard through the photo!  Throwing leaves way up over your head is always fun and we definitely took advantage of the opportunity this day!

Sometimes we get little ones in our studio who just love to smile and that was definitely the case this little lady!  It took her all of three minutes or so to warm up to me, then, it was all bright eyes, rosy cheeks, and gummy smiles from there on out!  All she required was a little cheer and she was cracking smiles left and right!  I got a cheek ache from smiling along with her (and I thought I was a big smiler)!  I think, during the 5 months we've had our studio location open, I have developed some serious smile lines from all the laughing I've done with clients (but it's been well worth it)!

Sneak Peek - The B Family | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

This dad had his hands full in the studio the other day but he was quite the pro with the kiddos!  He was a human jungle gym for this shot and didn't complain a bit!  It was too much fun.  I think all the giggling could be heard from outside the studio!  But, with three little ones, some giggles are bound to be contagious - these guys had me laughing from behind the camera the whole time!  It was a great day!

Sneak Peek - E & S Wedding | La Crosse Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

What lovely light we are getting this Fall!  Though the temps are a bit nippy, the sun seems as warm as ever!  E & S had a beautiful (and very season appropriate) color palette for their big day and it photographed gorgeously!  Deep purples and radiant oranges worked perfectly and made for amazing color pops in the golden brown scenery!  We couldn't resist adding a vintage feel to their photo, which just topped off the scene!  All in all, it's quite an exciting editing adventure so far!

Sneak Peek - The M Family | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

I think Fall might be nearing it's end as there seem to be more leaves on the ground than on the trees.  But it's still a wonderful time for outdoor photos and we've been having a blast working with families in the local parks!  This family was full of energy for their shoot and we had a ton of fun working together!  The weather was gorgeous (it was cold, windy, and rainy the following day) and the sun was giving us a lovely golden tone - all in all, great photo weather!  I'm hoping it stays calm for just a bit longer, so we can squeeze in as many shoots as we can before it's officially time to heat up the studio!  Our studio is always an option (and it's especially helpful for the little ones during winter) but it's nice to have the option to shoot outdoors!  But until the snowflakes fly (and a few times when they are flying) we'll be having a ton of fun outside!

Sneak Peek - The M Brothers and Sisters | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

Look at these future football stars!  We had so much fun in the park this afternoon!  After we got a bunch of family shots done, the football (and soccer ball) made an appearance for a little game of catch!  It was so great photographing these kids while their dad and mom threw the ball!  Just look at how similar the boys catching stances (and faces) are and the two girls are twins (with very different catching styles)!  I just couldn't resist putting these shots together for a little sneak peek - everyone (especially the boys) were quite excited about these ones!  A fun ending to a fun shoot!
