Sneak Peek - The M Brothers and Sisters | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

Look at these future football stars!  We had so much fun in the park this afternoon!  After we got a bunch of family shots done, the football (and soccer ball) made an appearance for a little game of catch!  It was so great photographing these kids while their dad and mom threw the ball!  Just look at how similar the boys catching stances (and faces) are and the two girls are twins (with very different catching styles)!  I just couldn't resist putting these shots together for a little sneak peek - everyone (especially the boys) were quite excited about these ones!  A fun ending to a fun shoot!

What a lovely wedding season we had this year!  We got to work with some great couples and witness some lovely wedding ceremonies and super fun receptions!  All in all, it was a great couple of months and after a little rest, we'll be ready to go for next year's brides (and grooms)!  We've already booked a few 2012 weddings, so it's definitely not too early to start making those big wedding decisions!

What a fun Saturday we had with E & S on their big day!  They're both such nice people and it was a joy working with them!  They braved the nippy weather for a little time downtown and then moved to Holmen for a reception that was filled with laughter and dancing!  They're actually our last scheduled wedding for the season (unless we get a few last minute calls - which we're totally open to!) and it was a great end to a fun wedding season of 2011.  Congratulations to E & S and all the wonderful couples this year, thanks for allowing us to be a part of your big days!

Sneak Peek - The P Family | Onalaska Wisconsin Family Photographer

What a gorgeous Fall afternoon we had during this photo shoot.  The season seemed to be giving us one last peek at summer before bring in the chilly weather!  So we definitely took advantage of the opportunity!  This park provided a wonderful scene to spend some quality time with the P family and their extended family (The L Family from previous photos).  I think we might have to put this one up during the long winter months to remind us of the warmth!

Sneak Peek - The L Family | La Crosse Wisconsin Family Photographer

In honor of another win for the Green Bay Packers - a family of fans!  I'm not a big football follower, but I do live in Wisconsin and it's hard not to hear about all the triumphs of our team!  So of course, when the L family mentioned that they all had jerseys for their shoot, we just had to make sure to get the shot!  And it worked out perfectly because the Packers took it home!  (We even had the game - or a game, I was lost in photo world - playing from a car radio during the shoot!)  Fun family, fun afternoon, fun shots - does it get any better than this?

It was a gorgeous October day for a wedding we photographed this weekend!  No rain, no strong winds, no chilly temperatures - just beautiful sunshine!  We visited a park just a few minutes away from their La Crosse reception locale after the ceremony (which was in Onalaska).  I don't think we could have asked for any better day - their ceremony went perfectly and our photo excursion was full of lovely fall tones and late afternoon light!  R & K are a wonderful young couple and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours!

How much fun does little E look like he's having?!  He was a little rascal during our shoot, giving me these awesome smiles and then taking off on his own little adventure of finding sticks to draw in the dirt with, picking leaves, watching the train...  The entire D family were so wonderful to work with.  This was actually a rescheduled session because of all the rain we had the previous week, but it worked out well because we got to catch some of the lovely golden colors that Fall is bringing!  This might be my favorite time of year and I'm so lucky to spend it with so many awesome families for Fall sessions!  I can't wait to see all the reds and oranges pop up too!

We had a little Pebbles (from the Flintstones) look-alike visit us the other day!  And she was full of smiles and giggles and wiggly legs!  She's six months now and we photographed her when she was a newborn and at three months too.  We also have been photographing her sister since she was a newborn - it's been so much fun watching them grow!  I absolutely love our Baby Steps plan for this very reason!

All the tiny details that each tiny baby has, how it's so individual and unique to each newborn - I absolutely love photographing tiny toes, little fingers, wispy hair, long eye lashes, the list goes on and on!  And I love doing shots in low key black and white, it gives such a timeless, classic quality to an image.  This little lady was so comfortable in her mom's hands, she just fell fast asleep and let me get one amazing image after another!
