Sneak Peek - Little Miss A | Black River Falls Wisconsin Child Photographer

Today we had a birthday girl in the studio!  Little Miss A is a big 6 years old but she has double the dose of personality!  By the time she left, her mom and I were tuckered out and she was full of energy with a green tongue to boot!  A bunch of ballons, a fancy dress, and a giant lollipop - birthday shoots are always a blast!

We just recently incorporated a new technique into my studio and so far we're loving the results!  We're occasionally working with reflection in portraits and it's especially fun with little ones like Little B above because they're still in such a natural state.  His subtle reflection just adds to his adorable baby pose and creates a bit more dynamic portrait.  We don't use a mirror because that would cause a bit too much reflection, so this way him and his personality stand out the most!  (And he had quite the fun personality - I even earned a high five at the end of this session!)

Sneak Peek - The S Family | Owatonna Minnesota Portrait Photographer

I got to hang out with these six kids last weekend at a park in Owatonna, MN.  We did a big family shoot with a total of 14 people but these six definitely stole the show!  They're all cousins and they're all super friendly and super fun!  You can just see their personalities in each shot and it's been quite hilarious going through the images and seeing all the silly faces, the big laughs, and the quick movements!  It was a great session!

Sneak Peek - Little B | La Crosse Wisconsin Child Photographer

This is exactly how much fun we had in the studio today!  This little guy and his mom were so happy and full of energy - it was a blast working with them!  Little B is such a boy; he took a few spills, had a great baseball throwing arm, and looked adorable in his little plaid outfits!  His mom has another little one on the way but she did a super job running after this little guy!  I laughed so much during this shoot and hope to get the chance to hangout with Little B again soon!

Sneak Peek - The S Family | Owatonna Minnesota Family Photographer

Yes, you're seeing right, we had a fun park day with 14 people!  This family was too much fun!  Grandparents, parents, and a bunch of awesome kids; we definitely had an adventure!  We were out on a Frisbee Golf Course and were lucky enough to find a quite spot in the corner do some photos.  One of these people (the lovely pregnant one) is an old friend from Hawaii (we were cheerleading buddies together) and it was so great to see her again!  She, her husband, and their little daughter were up in Minnesota visiting his family and she asked if I'd be interested in doing some family photos for them - so, of course, I couldn't resist!  What a thrill it was to catch up a bit and to work with such a relaxed and fun family!

Sneak Peek - Baby G & His Big Sisters | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby & Child Photographer

Big sisters E & S were so excited to take some photos with their new baby brother!  It was so cute to watch them help out their mom and dad with Baby G.  He's going to have quite the guidance as he grows up!  These girls aren't even afraid to run over with some baby wipes for an impromptu diaper change!  What awesome sisters!  We had a blast during the photo shoot and even took out the bubble machine afterwards for a little fun time after all that hard work!

How adorable is a sleeping baby like this little guy?!  He's only about 2 weeks old but he has quite the personality already!  I bet this is how he slept when the stork brought him to his family!  He tried his hardest to stay awake for the whole session, but he gave into sleep and took a few naps!  I love photographing new babies as they sleep - they're just so precious!  I can't wait to photograph him as he grows up!

I had the privilege of having my dad visit the studio this evening to get an updated business headshot!  I love when family and friends step in front of my lens!  He's taking some more grad school courses in Alabama shortly and was in need of an updated image.  He looked really sharp in his suit and now he's got the photos to prove it!

I have been having a blast working with this years seniors!  We've had so much fun exploring all the fun locations and all the awesome options that come with each and everyone's personalities and interests!  And though it was SUPER humid the day of this shoot - J made it though wonderfully and his images are too cool!
