Such a sweetie in her fluffy pink tutu!  Two little teeth on the bottom row, two little hands clapping along with her mom, and two big eyes making up such a cute little lady!  Oh my - her dad's going to have to keep a careful eye on this one!  We got to meet Baby B when she was just a tiny newborn and really enjoyed seeing just how big she's grown is this first year.  Click here to see a sneak peek from her newborn session.

{Flowers in the winter...} Tomah Wisconsin Photographer

What a beautiful way to spend a very cold (-40s) evening in Wisconsin!  My husband, Trent, and I picked up some flowers at a local retail store and set up our still life studio on our kitchen island.  It's always fun relaxing with some subjects that don't even blink (although, I do love the excitement of a portrait shoot)!  But, we decided to keep it simple with gorgeously controlled and manipulated lighting, posed blooms, and deep toned backdrops.  Trent normally shoots wildlife and nature scenes and subjects, so a still life was a nice little change since getting the camera gear outside in these temps is just not fun!  Now it's back to business after a bit of play...

{Baby L} Onalaska Wisconsin Photographer

Oh my - what fun we had the other day!  Little Mr. L visited us for his one year shots (we'd seen him before when he was only 12 weeks old and met his parents when he was still in mommy's tummy).  This is one of our favorite things about being a photographer - we get to watch so many families grow and change over the years and really love getting to know everyone as the time goes on!  The winter season has been keeping our area quite chilly this January, but this trio braved the cold for some wonderful outdoor shots in our studio backyard.  But we made sure to get some shots in the studio as well, so we didn't end up shivering the whole session!  Sessions with a smiley one year old are just too fun!

{Baby D} Onalaska Wisconsin Baby Photographer

How adorable is this little lady?!  Baby D has been visiting us since she made her debut in the beginning of last year and we have had so much fun watching her grow up!  She took part in our 3 step Baby Steps Plan (newborn, 6 months, 1 year) so we were able to catch many milestones.  The first image, in her lovely red Christmas dress, is a great example of how mobile she's become!  Plus, who can resist those gorgeous baby blues and a sneak peek-a-boo smile?!

Too bad the warm weather didn't come with the awesome Hawaiian print shirts W brought with him for his senior session!  (He even braved the near zero temps for a few shots in the snow!)  We had so much fun creating his photos and he kept it smooth with his side smile and relaxed poses.  Plus, how else can rock a suit and tie like this guy?!  All in all, we had a blast with W and wish him all the best as he finishes his last semester in high school!

{M & E Engagement} La Crosse Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

Oh my - happy tears all around!  We had so much fun photographing this surprise engagement!  We were hired by the happy (and sneaky) soon-to-be groom and we definitely didn't want to miss out on this one.  We were hiding in the bushes, covertly communicating by text as to their whereabouts.  Then, they arrived and once he got them exactly where he had planned, we popped out and started shooting.  The soon-to-be bride was so excited and was genuinely surprised - we are so happy for this wonderful couple!
