Sneak Peek - Baby P | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

This lovely little lady in this lovely little dress has quite the neat story behind this gorgeous garment!  As her mom told me, this is her Christening gown that was handmade for her by one of her grandmothers.  But, as if that weren't awesome enough, this gown was made from her mom's actual wedding dress!  Even the pale green ribbon came from the original wedding dress!  What a wonderful idea.  By the time Baby P is old enough to get married, her mom's dress will most likely be out of style, which means that it may never get worn again - just left in storage for the rest of time.  Now, she'll have a beautiful and meaningful baby gown that she can pass down through generations and generations, keeping the love and memory of her parent's marriage in the family forever!  Don't you just love that idea!

Sneak Peek - Baby J | La Crosse Wisconsin Baby Photographer

Sneak Peek - Little B | La Crosse Wisconsin Child Photographer

This little guy has visited be quite a few times now and each visit just gets better!  Now he can carry on little conversations and was just a blast to talk to!  Also, he's destined to be a Hall-Of-Famer with the arm he has!  We played catch for a few minutes after the session and he not only threw far, but very accurate.  When he does become a famous baseball player, I'll be able to say "I knew him when..."!  (The perks of my job!) Sneak Peek - Little G & M | Bangor Wisconsin Child Photographer

Do you see the personality?  I do!  These little ones were so fun!  Little M (the big sister) was so sweet!  She held my hands at cross walks (as we explored downtown La Crosse, WI) and told me some stories - all while giving me one cute pose after another!  Her brother, Little G, was quite the opposite, but just as adorable!  He just wanted to run around and play (like every other little boy his age); but getting a photo taken - not on his schedule for the day!  We did have a bunch of fun though and I even got to utilize a few props by sister gave EIP.  It was quite a fun day and made for a wonderful vintage vagabond shot! Sometimes you just have to take a little break and be a little goofy - and so we did during our session this afternoon!  Little tootsies make for great photos and giggles are sure to follow!  We spent our St. Patty's day exploring downtown La Crosse, getting a few shots here and there, plus, a few final shots in the studio.  It was a lovely day and a great way to spend a holiday! Sneak Peek - Baby C | Onalaska Wisconsin Baby Photographer

What a pair of gorgeous eyes this little lady has!  And those lashes - to die for!  I'm surprised Cover Girl hasn't called for her to model eye shadows yet!  Don't you just love these soft baby moments, where they're so very natural and relaxed?  They are some of my favorites to capture!  Plus, Baby L had the sweetest little dress - yellow, flowers, lace, and a bow.  There was just too much cuteness during this session! Sneak Peek - The T Family | Onalaska Wisconsin Baby Photographer

I absolutely love witnessing these adorable moments!  There's just something about the comfort that exudes from the loving embrace of parents.  This particular little guy decided he wanted to fuss through his entire session, that is, until the very end, when he was tight in his dad's arms.  That was definitely the perfect spot for him.  And that's why I just love shots like these, with low key lighting, close crops, and tight poses.  It's just a lovely, magical moment between family members.

There's just something about newborn photo sessions that makes infants decide to throw out any semblance of a schedule or routine and adopt a celebrity-like status!  More feeding times, more fussing, different napping times - these little ones know they're the star of the session and definitely take advantage of it.  But that's another one of the fun parts about newborn sessions.  You just never know what will happen and, therefore; each and every session is completely unique!  It's just a joy to work with babies, kids, and families alike! We had so much fun in the studio today!  This little soon-to-be ONE year old had quite the vivacious personality!  And her mom was so wonderful with her!  There were definitely plenty of giggles going around!  Plus, she had just about the cutest little spring dress, which I heard was a gift from her grandma.  I just couldn't resist this shot - what a wonderful moment! The Publication Award | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

If you haven't already picked up an issue, check out Coulee Parenting Connection (a local Wisconsin parenting publication).  Their pages are packed full of family goodness!  I had the pleasure of working with them on a few projects last year (providing photos for their specific articles) and it was always quite exciting!  They were recently awarded by the Parenting Media Association for the feature pictured below, which I created the photos for!  What an awesome accomplishment for Editor and Publisher Lissa Carlson, Designer Karen Wallander, and the entire team at CPC!  I'm so honored to be a small part of their major success!

The Expos & More | La Crosse Wisconsin Photographer

Wow!  How the time has flown by!  I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to post in a while, but I promise, I'm back to it!  We have just been crazy busy, but not all of it was the fun stuff.  Preparing taxes, reorganizing the studio, updating our databases... you know, all the behind-the-scenes office work that just has to get done!  But, we did manage to squeeze in a few expos and they were super fun!  We got our Inside-Out-Photo Booth up and running again and had an awesome group of people stop by for a few fun shots!  Check out the albums on our Facebook (and the little peek here)!
